About The Position

This position is for a Special Procedures Radiology Tech in a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet Hospital with 820 total staffed beds. The role involves working in a Hybrid OR setting with extensive endovascular experience. The tech will be responsible for various procedures and must be able to work under pressure and independently in a high-acuity environment. EPIC experience is necessary, but no scrubbing is needed. The facility utilizes Siemens/advanced vascular features (Pheno/Zeego) and requires knowledge of PACS and Siemens Portable C-Arm functions. Familiarity with vascular supplies is also expected. The facility has a local radius rule of 60 miles, and locals are accepted on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate. RTO restrictions apply, and all RTO must be submitted at the time of submission. The facility reserves the right to call off travelers for one shift per two weeks. Travelers should be aware of potential hurricane season assignments.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience required.
  • Hybrid OR Experience Required.
  • Extensive endovascular experience including: FEVAR/PMEG EVAR, TEVAR, AAA/TAA, Angiograms, Declots, Lysis, Stenting, Embolization, TAVRs.
  • Greater than 1 year of Zeego and Pheno experience.
  • Experience with Penumbra, AngioJet, Shockwave, IVUS, Jet Stream, Medrad etc.
  • Must work well under pressure and independently in a high-acuity environment.
  • EPIC experience is necessary.
  • Knowledge of PACS, Hybrid Siemens/advanced vascular features & troubleshooting (Pheno/Zeego).
  • Knowledge of Siemens Portable C-Arm functions to include digital subtraction, road mapping, measurements, etc.
  • EPIC Charting system.
  • Familiar with vascular supplies (balloons, diagnostic caths, wires, sheaths, etc.).
  • ARRT certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • Radiation badge.

Responsibilities

  • Perform extensive endovascular procedures including FEVAR/PMEG EVAR, TEVAR, AAA/TAA, Angiograms, Declots, Lysis, Stenting, Embolization, and TAVRs.
  • Operate Zeego and Pheno systems with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Utilize experience with Penumbra, AngioJet, Shockwave, IVUS, Jet Stream, Medrad, etc.
  • Work well under pressure and independently in a high-acuity environment.
  • Utilize EPIC charting system.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of PACS, Hybrid Siemens/advanced vascular features & troubleshooting (Pheno/Zeego).
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Siemens Portable C-Arm functions including digital subtraction, road mapping, and measurements.
  • Be familiar with vascular supplies (balloons, diagnostic caths, wires, sheaths, etc.).
  • Participate in a flexible call schedule (roughly 8/month), which may include holiday call.
  • Potentially work a few late shifts per week.
