About The Position

This role is for an MRI Tech with experience in Radiology and Cardiology. The position involves performing MRI scans on various body parts and patient age groups. The contract is for a maximum of 13 weeks, ending in February. The schedule is 3x12 shifts, Wednesday/Thursday/Saturday, from 1830-0700. There is no on-call requirement, but floating to different units (NHRMC Ortho, main hospital) is expected on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Contract staff may be assigned to a Storm Team or Hurricane Team and could be required to work during catastrophic events. Consolidation to a Centralized Office or pre-assignment to other units may occur mid-contract. The start date is contingent on Novant's schedule and trainer availability, with potential start days on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week. Full availability is required for orientation, which runs from 8 AM to 4:30 PM during the first week. Missing orientation may lead to a delayed or canceled start. The final start date will be confirmed the Tuesday prior to the start week.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• Will NOT accept 1st time travelers.
• Locals accepted.
• BLS certification.
• ARRT certification.
• Experience with abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, peripheral magnetic resonance, spin echo images, surface coils, T1 and T2, CINE.
• Familiarity with adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans on abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, peripheral magnetic resonance, spin echo images, surface coils, T1 and T2, and CINE.
• Float to NHRMC Ortho on Thursdays and Fridays.
• Float to the main hospital on Saturdays.
• Be available for a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignment.
• Potentially be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster.
• Potentially be consolidated to the Centralized Office mid-contract.
• Potentially be pre-assigned to units as needed.
• Attend hospital orientation during the first week.
