About The Position

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Radiology Aide for our Radiology Unit who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Radiology Aide, you will greet patients as they arrive at the front desk, answer and place telephone calls to and from radiologists in order to facilitate urgent results reporting, and properly document these procedures in the appropriate system (EMR, PACS, other IT systems). You will also burn CDs and process Release of Information requests accurately, resolve scheduling conflicts and add on patients in order to facilitate excellent care, and fax and call reports to referring physicians offices. Additionally, you will assist with patient transport as needed, provide coverage for the Reading Room Assistant as necessary in their absence, and participate in departmental performance improvement projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

1 year of x-ray school, preferred

Responsibilities
