About The Position

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Radiology Aide for our CT Scan Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Radiology Aide, you will provide general assistance to technologists to expedite patient examinations while maintaining excellent patient relations and demonstrating our RISES values. You will be responsible for the transport of patients to and from the CT/ MR department in collaboration with other departments, maximizing patient throughput and demonstrating teamwork with coworkers by managing large patient volumes. You will assist the modality in preparing the patient for the imaging exam and care of the patient, including patient preparation and clean up, transferring the patient from the mode of transportation to the imaging table, and maintaining effective workflow. You will properly identify patients to maximize quality, compassionate, safe patient care, and processing of patient information in the modality, and follow all patient safety procedures, including handoffs. You will accurately perform documentation in all computer systems pertinent to the modality (HIS, RIS, tele tracking, PACS) and assist in maintaining inventories. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of X-ray school, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accurately performs documentation in all computer systems pertinent to the modality (HIS, RIS, tele tracking, PACS).
  • Assists in maintaining inventories.
  • Other duties as assigned.
