MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Radiology (Remote)
About The Position
This full-time radiology physician position involves providing diagnostic imaging services and patient care in a collaborative clinical environment. The physician interprets medical imaging studies, prepares timely diagnostic reports, and works with referring physicians and clinical staff to support treatment decisions. The role covers emergency department and inpatient cases, including strokes, and involves approximately 8–10 RVUs per hour. The schedule is 7 days on followed by 14 days off, with shifts from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. The description identifies the position as both on-site and 100% remote.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a radiology residency program.
- Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of Illinois.
- Strong proficiency in interpreting multiple imaging modalities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative clinical team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Familiarity with PACS and radiology information systems.
Responsibilities
- Interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
- Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely radiology reports.
- Promptly communicate critical and significant findings to referring physicians.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to guide diagnostic and treatment planning.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and peer review discussions.
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement of imaging services.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in radiology and medical imaging technology.
- Mentor residents, fellows, and junior colleagues as needed.
- Provide emergency department and inpatient coverage, including stroke cases.
