About The Position

The Department of Radiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is seeking a Radiologist for a full-time position in our Junior Attending Physician Track in Boston, MA. This innovative track is designed to provide a structured pathway for radiologists entering U.S. academic practice, supporting the transition to independent attending-level responsibilities within a high-performing academic health system. This role is ideal for candidates who have completed radiology training and are seeking a supported and rigorous environment to grow into independent academic radiology practice. Candidates will be placed within a clinical section that closely matches their subspecialty training and professional interests. This alignment ensures a supportive environment for skill development, mentorship, and successful progression to independent attending practice within their area of expertise.

Requirements

  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree
  • Completion of a radiology residency
  • ECFMG certification (international medical graduates)
  • Massachusetts temporary license required prior to start
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, education, and quality care
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging interpretation with supervision by attending faculty and increasing independence over time
  • Participate in clinical care activities across assigned subspecialty areas
  • Engage in call responsibilities commensurate with demonstrated clinical competency
  • Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, tumor boards, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to teaching activities at the workstation under faculty supervision
  • Initiate at least one scholarly activity (e.g., research, quality improvement project, manuscript, or abstract)
