About The Position

Jobs in this job family are responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures to support patient care, clinical research, and medical education. These roles utilize advanced imaging technologies—such as X-rays, MRI, CT scans, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology—to produce high-quality images that aid in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of medical conditions. These roles encompass a variety of responsibilities across different aspects of imaging services. These professionals may be involved in multiple imaging modalities (such as X-ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound), patient care, equipment maintenance. This category requires versatility and cross-functional expertise, ensuring that the imaging department operates efficiently while providing high-quality diagnostic services. Individual contributors with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Spends majority of time leading the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education (typically University). Experienced individual contributor that has extensive area or subject matter expertise. Limited oversight from manager. Manages projects or processes. Coaches, reviews, and delegates work to lower level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and often complex. Influences others regarding policies, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree required; focus in the Radiologic Sciences (RA discipline) preferred
  • 2 years of radiologic experience required
  • Registered Radiologist Assistant through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT RRA) required.
  • Licensed to practice as a Radiologist Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia required.
  • Maintains CME credit for licensure and professional growth.
  • BLS Certification

  • Managing projects or processes.
  • Coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to lower level professionals.
