About The Position

Nova Scotia Health is hiring Radiological Technologists, CT Technologists, MRI Technologists and Nuclear Medicine Technologists across the province. The Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic or therapeutic procedures requiring the use of ionizing radiation, applying the ALARA principle, while continuously remaining responsive to and responsible for each patient in their care. The Technologist is responsible for effective communication in a multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary environment while fostering a culture of safety in the workplace. Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Basic Life Support Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Qualification to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality is an asset
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
