About The Position

The Radiological Technologist performs medical imaging examinations as prescribed by providers, delivering high-quality imaging studies to support diagnosis of patient conditions. The role reviews studies for clarity and accuracy and may obtain additional imaging to assist the Radiologist. It also includes office and non-office functions and assistance with other departmental and hospital needs. The technologist maintains patient dignity and physical safety, assures continuity of services and care, attends assigned in-service training and education sessions, and performs other duties assigned by the department head.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited Radiological Technology school program.
At least 5 years of experience in a hospital setting.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Complete HIPPA training at hire or within 3 months.
Current American Registry of Radiological Technologists registration for Radiography.
Current Arizona Department of Health license to practice Radiography.
Ability to stand and walk for up to 70% of the workday.
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to work with close attention to detail amid frequent interruptions.

Responsibilities

Perform medical imaging examinations as prescribed by providers for diagnostic purposes.
Review imaging studies for clarity and accuracy.
Obtain additional imaging as needed to assist the Radiologist.
Assist with office and non-office functions and other departmental and hospital needs.
Maintain each patient's self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety.
Assure continuity of services and care.
Attend assigned in-service training and education sessions.
Perform work duties and responsibilities assigned by the department head.
