About The Position
This is a part-time position for a Radiological Technologist at the Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute. The role involves performing diagnostic radiographs and EKGs based on physician requests, ensuring safety and precision while minimizing radiation exposure.
Requirements
- Computer skills are needed.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with radiology in an in-patient healthcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of math, reading, writing, physics, medical terminology preferred.
- Licensed by the State of Virginia preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely and precisely perform maximum quality diagnostic radiographs utilizing the least amount of radiation necessary upon receiving physicians’ requests.
- Correctly perform EKG’s.
Benefits
- Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than 29 hours a week and are limited to working 1500 hours in a year.
