About The Position
This is a part-time/wage position for a Radiological Tech at the Southwestern VA Mental Health Institute. The role involves performing diagnostic radiographs and EKGs upon receiving physician requests, ensuring safety, precision, and minimal radiation exposure.
Requirements
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Nice To Haves
- Experience with radiology in an in-patient healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of math, reading, writing, physics, medical terminology.
- Computer skills.
- Licensed by the State of Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Safely and precisely perform maximum quality diagnostic radiographs utilizing the least amount of radiation necessary.
- Correctly perform EKG's.
Benefits
- Hourly/wage employees may not work more than 29 hours a week and are limited to working 1500 hours in a year.
