About The Position

APTIM is seeking Junior level Radiological Control Technicians to support radiological field operations in San Francisco, CA. We are seeking Health Physics/Radiological Control Technicians who can effectively embrace the technical and operational challenges of high profile and critically important field level project support activities. Technicians that can execute radiation health & safety surveys, controls and processes the highest technical and data integrity standards as set forth by APTIM, and project stakeholders.

Requirements

Must have a minimum of 2+ years of operational health physics experience within the radiation safety field.
Familiarity with radiation protection regulations and standards of the USNRC, USDOD, USDOE, USACE and Agreement States
Must have current HAZWOPER 40-hour qualification
General standing, bending and reaching to support project survey and housekeeping activities.
Must be able to periodically lift and move equipment and materials up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work in environments with additional hazards and PPE requirements, including Tyvek® coveralls and respirators.

Responsibilities

Carries out company's health physics and industrial hygiene policies and procedures on field project assignments.
Performs field Health Physics Technician assignments to align with the objectives of the project work schedule.
Operates radiation measuring equipment; conduct radiological surveys and performs radiological sampling; interprets survey and sample data; able to document radiological surveys performed in high quality, error free format.
