About The Position

We are currently pursuing a fast-paced intelligent and friendly full-time Radiologic Technologist to join our Radiology team. At SRMC, our patients are our number one priority. This role will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiology procedures at a technical level that will require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative for an x-ray diagnosis, under the direction of a radiologist and radiology department head. This person will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare team members to deliver accurate results, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology program.
  • License as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Nebraska.
  • ARRT certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer 1 year of clinical experience, but will consider new graduates.

Responsibilities

  • Perform direct patient care in the areas of diagnostic X-ray and CT
  • Position patient on examining table and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician.
  • Communicate effectively between patient, patient’s family, physicians, and other staff members of the healthcare team in evaluation of care to ensure continuity of care.
  • Move equipment and/or patient into specified position and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors (i.e. time and distance).
  • Follow safety guidelines as governed by federal, state, and local regulations and ensure that Infection Control, Quality Assurance, and Medicare standards are met.
  • Assess correlation of the clinical history with the tests performed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
