Radiologic Technologist Full-time Days / Hammonton
About The Position
A licensed practitioner responsible for administering ionizing radiation to patients for diagnostic purposes and performing a wide variety of radiologic procedures according to established and approved protocols and standards. The technologist operates radiographic equipment safely and responsibly, following appropriate ALARA guidelines, and supports Virtua’s mission, vision, values, STAR behaviors, policies, and procedures. This position is with Virtua Reconstructive Orthopedics at its Hammonton location. A new office is opening in early November. New-to-Virtua hires are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus with a one-year commitment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.).
- NJDEP licensure required.

Responsibilities
- Perform radiologic procedures for all patient populations according to radiologist-established protocols, applying radiation safety and protection principles and producing images of the highest diagnostic quality.
- Document procedures thoroughly and accurately; obtain pertinent medical information, review and verify physician orders, and document information such as the correct side and LMP.
- Use radiographic equipment and computer systems effectively, including RIS, PACS, Web viewer, ADW workstation, and other hospital-based computer or PC systems.
- Instruct and assist with training new staff or student radiologic technologists.
