About The Position

As a Radiologic Technologist, your work involves much more than performing diagnostic exams; you also ensure a positive experience by making patients feel respected and secure. The Radiologic Technologist performs ionizing radiographic and fluoroscopic exams in a variety of environments, according to physician's orders, utilizing knowledge and judgment in regard to exposure factors, imaging technique and patient care. Central to the success of this role is the ability to handle stressful situations in ways that promote positive outcomes. Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center in Northwest Portland is known for its specialty programs and clinical excellence. Legacy Good Samaritan features nationally renowned doctors in cancer care, kidney transplantations, neurology, ophthalmology, weight-loss surgery, robotic surgery, rehabilitation and more.

Requirements

  • Graduate of certified Radiologic Technology school or program.
  • Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
  • Current applicable state license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology required.
  • Registered Radiological Technologist A.R.R.R.T. (R) required.
  • BLS/CPR Certification: Personnel providing direct care in patient care and diagnostic areas are required to acquire and maintain BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality images with accuracy and efficiency, using optimal skills and knowledge of all equipment.
  • Gathers complete documentation of all pertinent information to provide accurate and timely service to customers.
  • Provides for personal and patient care and safety using professional judgment in accordance with written standards so there is no injury to self or others.
  • Practices professional communications, appearance, conduct, punctuality, attendance and attitude that lead to physician, patient and co-worker respect and confidence.
