About The Position

As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist at MUSC, you have access to state-of-the-art imaging equipment to capture detailed X-ray images, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment planning for a wide range of medical conditions across 16 community hospitals including 3 level 1 trauma centers and many unique outpatient clinics across South Carolina. Radiologic Technology roles at MUSC are some of the most diverse, offering access to many different specialties as well as world class radiologists and providers.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), If not registered must obtain the registry within 6 months of hire.
Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Responsibilities

Perform radiographic procedures requiring a strong understanding of anatomical positioning and human physiology
Apply ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging in adult and/or pediatric populations
Demonstrate a high level of technical competency in imaging procedures
Exercise independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity with minimal supervision
