Requirements
- HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT
- Required: BLS, CT State RT License or New Graduates under CT Temporary Practice Provisions, Valid ARRT, Continuing education, 24 CEU credits for license.
- Maintains current knowledge of professional discipline & educational methodologies through continuing professional development.
- Experience with patient care in a radiology setting.
- Credentials: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiographer New Graduates under CT Temporary Practice Provisions
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program

- Is proficient in either mammography, operating room or another specialty modality.
Responsibilities
- Introduce and greet patient.
- Responsible for the care and safety of patients.
- Instructs and prepares patient for xray & or fluoroscopic exam.
- Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions, & shields patient accordingly.
- Produce high quality xrays.
- Assists with training students and ancillary personnel.
- Interacts professionally with patients and family.
- Completes all work before clocking out and leaving.
- Attends annual hospital review (compliance) and departmental inservices meetings as scheduled.
- Practices medicine and surgical aseptic procedures.
- Is proficient in either mammography, operating room or another specialty modality.
- Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
