About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic radiographs and related procedures at a technical level by utilizing the appropriate equipment to perform high quality imaging. This position is also responsible for following established standards and procedures, and reviewing images to determining necessary adjustment for optimum results. The Radiologic Technologist will participate in Quality Improvement work groups. This is a weekend option position with a requirement to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical Diploma in Radiologic Technology or Associate Degree in applied science in radiography or other related field required.
  • Graduate for an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology Program
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.
  • Arkansas Department of Health Radiologic Technologist Licensure required.
  • BLS/CPR required upon hire or obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • This is a safety sensitive position.
  • Must be knowledgeable in, medical terminology, and possess generalized skills in medical imaging, general and other special procedures that are performed within the department.
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality images
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations. (Thirty-minute response time for callback.)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Radiography or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one year (1) experience as a staff technologist or tech extern a plus.
  • Three years (3) Clinical Experience preferred
  • Proficiency and expertise in Radiologic equipment and operation preferred
