Requirements

  • Graduate of AMA approved school of radiologic technology
  • One year experience as Radiologic Technologist
  • Familiar with ACR, FDA and State of Arizona standards
  • Medical Radiographer: AZ
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
  • American Heart Association BLS

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year experience in an urgent care or emergency room setting.
  • Experience with digital radiography and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

  • Produce diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
  • Perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs.
  • Actively contribute to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
  • Utilize good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others by use of available devices.
  • Educate patient, family and others, as appropriate, in regard to procedures the patient may be having.
  • Provide the necessary documentation as appropriate.
  • Operate equipment and perform procedures in the department.
  • Perform clinical and registration duties as required.
  • Produce high quality radiographs and have a minimal retake percentage.
  • Practice good sterile technique when required and utilize universal precautions and other infection control practices as appropriate.
