About The Position

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist, internally referred to as our Rad Tech or Diagnostic Radiology Tech, who is interested in training to be a Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (Cath Lab Tech). This is a full-time position with an on-call requirement, and the ideal candidate must live within 30 minutes of Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL. The available shift is an 8-hour day shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Requirements

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State
• ARRT-R or RCIS or CCT Certification
• Current BLS accredited by the AHA
• Familiar with State and Federal regulations
• Proficient computer skills

Responsibilities

• Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs.
• Perform Diagnostic Radiographic procedures according to department protocols, HFAP/TJC/local regulatory/CMS, State and Federal regulations.
• Responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
• Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations.
• Participate in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities.
