About The Position

This Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging services in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. This PRN position requires a minimum of one shift per week, with variable night, day, and weekend shifts as needed. The role is located on the main campus and involves working with an adult patient population. Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (Required)
  • LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Licensure-Others
  • Relevant Work Experience
  • Experience Level: Less than 1 year

  • Diagnostic Equipment (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate the use of diagnostic tools in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
  • Compliance (Novice): Can explain and apply basic statutory instructions in normal situations on the job. Understands the principles upon which the rules and regulations are based. Appropriately escalates problems relating to rules and regulations in timely and effective manner.
  • Patient Documentation (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate patient documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Generally works under the direction of others while accomplishing assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.
  • Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.
  • Provides appropriate screening process to patients, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.
  • Assists in the orientation and training of new staff.
  • Performs excellent work, engaging regularly in formal and informal dialogue about quality and directly addressing quality issues promptly.
  • Ensures continuous improvement by applying various learning experiences and looking beyond symptoms to uncover underlying causes of problems and identifying ways to resolve them.
  • Fulfills safety and regulatory requirements, understanding all aspects of providing a safe environment and performing routine safety checks to prevent safety hazards from occurring.
  • Demonstrates accountability by demonstrating a sense of ownership, focusing on and driving critical issues to closure.
  • Applies understanding of the departmental work to effectively manage resources for a department/area.
  • Makes data driven decisions by demonstrating strong understanding of the information or data to identify and elevate opportunities.
