About The Position

At Dignity Health - Yavapai Regional Medical Center (DH-YRMC), now part of CommonSpirit Health, we are a not-for-profit integrated healthcare provider offering a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services. We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) who will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction. To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses. Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Medical Radiographer: (MRAD:AZ)
  • Basic Life Support - AHA BLS
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, (RTR) or Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, (RTCT) or Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, (RTBD) or Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography (RTCV) or Registered Technologist Mammography, (RTM) or Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, (RTMR) or Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, (RTN) or Registered Technologist Quality Management, (RTQM) or Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy, (RTT) or Registered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad, - (RTVI) or Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, - (RTVS)

  • Six months radiology experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs.
  • Actively contribute to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
  • Utilize good radiation safety practices for patients, self, and others.
  • Follow every step for taking an x-ray (two patient identifier, gel in/gel out, etc.).
  • Produce high quality films.
  • Accurately mark radiographs with R's and L's, supine and upright (if appropriate); and assure that patient information is clearly visible.
  • Competent in one or more areas of Diagnostic Radiology (fluoro, portables, OR, Litho, ED/Trauma).
  • Operate various computer systems such as RCO, Radnet, PACS and other hospital systems.
  • Assist Imaging Support in locating films/images, loading CD's, printing reports and assisting physicians.
