Requirements

  • ARRT certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Radiography program graduates must obtain ARRT within one (1) year as a condition of continued employment in this job classification.

Responsibilities

  • Articulate precise understanding of how data flows in and out of modality work area.
  • Be attentive to patient satisfaction results and collaborate with management team on ways to improve the department in general and facility overall. Seek ways to improve systems and services.
  • Demonstrate ability to meet and sustain departmental expectations while completing work assignments as it pertains to patient care in an ethical manner. Maintain integrity of equipment with careful manipulation at all times. Adhere to radiation safety regulations and standards. Assist the Medical Physicist in performing quality assurance testing as needed.
  • Demonstrate sustained ability when interacting with patients, to follow the AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Expectation and Thank You). Ensure confidentiality of all patient information is maintained.
  • Maintain current certifications and licensure status.
  • Participate in in-service education and outside educational programs.
  • Understand time clock expectations and adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines.
  • May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
