About The Position

The diagnostic technologist works under the direction of a radiologist and imaging leadership, with minimum supervision, to maintain the daily function of the Diagnostic Radiology department and perform a variety of X-ray procedures.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT(R) Certification required within six months.
• For New York sites, a New York State Department of Health license for Radiologic Technologist is required.

Nice To Haves

• AAS degree preferred.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a registered technologist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures using appropriate radiologist protocols and standard workflows based on annual competencies.
• Practice safe patient care.
• Maintain equipment, including performing daily quality assurance procedures.
• Use radiation safety measures for patients and personnel.
• Take on additional duties as assigned and warranted.
• Work on-call shifts where applicable.
• Oversee and instruct students in the clinical setting where applicable.
