About The Position

This role involves positioning patients and selecting appropriate technical imaging parameters to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. The technologist will prepare for, perform, and assist physicians with routine, specialized, and advanced imaging procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. They will also administer contrast media and medications within their scope of practice, implement radiation protection practices and safety protocols, and ensure timely submission of high-quality images and documentation to PACS. Maintaining accurate patient records and supporting a clean, safe, and organized department are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Position patients and accurately select anatomical and technical imaging parameters to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare for, perform, and assist physicians with routine, specialized, and advanced imaging procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice and in accordance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
  • Implement radiation protection practices, safety protocols, and regulatory standards to maintain compliance and promote optimal patient care.
  • Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and documentation to PACS, maintain accurate patient records, and support a clean, safe, and organized department.
