About The Position

This role involves positioning patients and selecting appropriate technical imaging parameters to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. The technologist will prepare for, perform, and assist physicians with routine, specialized, and advanced imaging procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. They will also administer contrast media and medications within their scope of practice, implement radiation protection practices and safety protocols, and ensure timely submission of high-quality images and documentation to PACS. Maintaining accurate patient records and supporting a clean, safe, and organized department are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

Position patients and accurately select anatomical and technical imaging parameters to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare for, perform, and assist physicians with routine, specialized, and advanced imaging procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice and in accordance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
Implement radiation protection practices, safety protocols, and regulatory standards to maintain compliance and promote optimal patient care.
Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and documentation to PACS, maintain accurate patient records, and support a clean, safe, and organized department.
