About The Position

This position is responsible for performing radiologic procedures, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality, and maintaining accurate records. The role involves patient identification, exam verification, safe escorting of patients, proper positioning for imaging, and adherence to radiation protection protocols (ALARA). The technologist will also be responsible for data entry, charge verification, image storage (PACS), and assisting with film library duties, including copying and mailing films. Coverage for Saturday and evening hours, as well as film library duties during absences, is also expected. Continuing education and certification maintenance are required.

  • Attend seminars and read bimonthly publications
  • Take direct readings tests for continuing education to keep certification current
