About The Position

The diagnostic technologist works under the direction of a radiologist and imaging leadership, with minimum supervision, to maintain the daily function of the Diagnostic Radiology department and perform a variety of X-ray procedures. The role may include on-call shifts and overseeing and instructing students in the clinical setting, where applicable.

The salary range is $32.60–$51.63, plus a per diem premium.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT(R) certification required within six months.
• For New York sites, a New York State Department of Health license for Radiologic Technologist is required.

Nice To Haves

• AAS degree preferred.
• At least one year of experience as a registered technologist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures using proper radiologist protocols and standard workflows based on annual competencies.
• Practice safe patient care.
• Maintain equipment, including performing daily QA procedures.
• Use radiation safety measures for patients and personnel.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and warranted.
• Work on-call shifts where applicable.
• Oversee and instruct students in the clinical setting where applicable.
