About The Position

American Family Care is hiring a PRN Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality imaging while supporting clinical and front-desk operations in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The role combines diagnostic X-ray exams with medical assistant duties when not performing imaging and medical receptionist support tasks. PRN technologists are expected to commit to at least four shifts per month. The work environment involves standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and potential exposure to radiation and biohazards; personal protective equipment is required. The expected pay range is $29.50 to $36.00 per hour. Final compensation depends on factors including experience, certifications, education, and geographic location. Requirements

ARRT certification as an R.T. (R) in good standing.
State Radiologic Technologist license where required.
Active BLS certification, or obtain it within the defined onboarding period.
Strong insurance verification and EMR documentation skills.
Willingness to cover medical assistant and medical receptionist duties.
Ability to commit to at least four shifts per month.
Able to stand and lift up to 50 pounds.
Use required personal protective equipment when exposed to radiation and biohazards.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of urgent care or emergency room imaging experience.
Experience in radiology, CT, or MRI.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations safely and follow ALARA principles.
Collaborate with providers to support timely patient care.
Perform medical assistant duties, including triage, laboratory work, venipuncture, and wound care, when not performing imaging.
Support medical receptionist tasks, including insurance verification, registration, and payment collection.
Maintain equipment quality-control procedures and compliance logs.
