About The Position

American Family Care is hiring a full-time Radiologic Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging and clinical support in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The role combines patient-centered X-ray imaging with support for urgent care operations, including medical assistant and medical receptionist duties when imaging work is not being performed. The technologist collaborates with providers to support timely care, follows radiation safety practices, and maintains equipment quality-control and compliance records. The position involves standing and lifting up to 50 pounds, exposure to radiation and biohazards with required PPE, and expected evening, weekend, and float coverage.

Requirements

ARRT certification as R.T. (R) in good standing.
Radiologic Technologist state license where required.
Current BLS certification.
Strong insurance verification and EMR documentation skills.
Willingness to flex into medical assistant and medical receptionist duties.
Ability to meet the position's physical demands, including standing and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and float coverage.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of urgent care or emergency room imaging experience.
Experience in radiology, CT, or MRI.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiology (X-ray) examinations safely and follow ALARA principles.
Collaborate with providers to support timely patient care.
Support medical assistant duties when not performing imaging, including triage, laboratory work, venipuncture, and wound care.
Support medical receptionist tasks, including insurance verification, registration, and payment collection.
Maintain equipment quality-control and compliance logs.
