About The Position
Adventist Health Reedley is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians. The role involves positioning and instructing patients prior to examination, adjusting x-ray equipment, and determining proper settings for each radiograph. Adventist Health Reedley is a 49-bed acute care hospital serving the Central Valley since 2011, located in a region known for its outdoor recreational opportunities and affordable cost of living.
Requirements
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT-R): Required
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA and HI
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA within 6 months of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Fluoroscopy (FLUORO): Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: Preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation.
- Explains procedures to patients and answers questions.
- Prepares equipment for use as needed.
- Prepares examination rooms for patient exams.
- Positions patients for imaging exams.
- Monitors patients and ensures safety during exams.
- Produces diagnostic images.
- Documents exam information.
- Reports important information to the physician.
- Verifies exams on PACS.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
