About The Position

Northwell Health and GoHealth Urgent Care are operating urgent care centers across the NYC/ Long Island/ Westchester region. At Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care, the focus is on providing an effortless patient experience, a welcoming culture of care, and seamless integration with market-leading health systems and communities. The Mobile Radiologic Technologist, Driving (“Mobile RT”) works with Medical Providers and Medical Assistants in the examination and treatment of patients. This role is responsible for performing technical procedures, applying ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, performing patient x-rays, and reporting results to Medical Providers. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Centers. The Mobile RT Driving provides support to Medical Providers, Medical Assistants, and patients through tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The role requires completing all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner, while embodying the organization's vision and mission. The Mobile RT Driving works across nearby sites, traveling to the respective site as patient care needs requiring X-ray arise. This traveling nature requires flexibility and responsiveness. The role will expose the Mobile RT Driving to various urgent care settings, maximizing the quantity of X-Rays performed. Travel within the region is by car, and requires the employee to have access to a vehicle, a valid State driver’s license, and to pass an MVR background check.

Requirements

High School Diploma (required)
Graduate of accredited Radiologic Tech program (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire (obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required.
Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required.
Valid State Driver’s License
Must pass MVR background check

Nice To Haves

Previous clinical experience preferred
Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures preferred
Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software preferred

Responsibilities

Responsible for x-ray services as needed
Under the clinical direction of the Medical Provider, perform x-ray services for patients by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly.
Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use.
Travel between multiple sites to provide X-ray services
Will need to push patient in a wheelchair
Follow operating instructions to perform and document daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs for equipment troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as needed.
The traveling nature of this role requires the Mobile RT Driving to be flexible and responsive to the needs of patients and the organization.
