Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician. This includes positioning of patients for correct anatomy/pathology demonstration, operation of radiation-producing equipment, operation of electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient rooms/equipment/medications, and maintaining adequate supply inventory. The role also involves explaining examinations and procedures to patients and completing departmental documentation. Grandfathered staff with military radiologic technologist training will be accepted in lieu of ARRT registry.
