About The Position

Operates x-ray and auxiliary equipment, processes images, and maintains and cleans equipment. Maintains required documentation. CARDIAC CATH LAB EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

Requirements

• Vocational or Technical school Diploma required
• New York State and/or Connecticut Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, required.
• Current ARRT Radiology registration required, plus specialized certifications as needed
• 1-3 years of technical experience, required
• BLS through the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

• Cardiac Cath Lab experience required

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam, relieving anxiety by translating the examination into layman's terms and ensuring consent forms are obtained.
• Performs various x-ray exams according to established standards and procedures, positioning patients, adjusting equipment, and monitoring patient condition.
• Processes and maintains exposed images, labels films for identification, maintains required records, and ensures proper marking and labeling of images.
• Performs related duties as required.
