About The Position
As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
Requirements
- Completion of approved American College of Radiology: Radiologic Technologist Program, upon hire and
- Medical Radiographer: AZ, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or
- Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, upon hire or
- Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, upon hire or
- Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, upon hire or
- Registered Technologist Mammography, upon hire or
- Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, upon hire or
- Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, upon hire or
- Registered Technologist Quality Management, upon hire or
- Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy, upon hire or
- Registered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad, upon hire or
- Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, upon hire

Responsibilities
- Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others.
- Displays competency performing procedures; follows every step for taking an x-ray (two patient identifier, gel in/gel out, etc). Always produces high quality films. Accurately marks radiographs with R's and L's, supine and upright (if appropriate); and assures that patient information is clearly visible.
- Competent in one or more areas of Diagnostic Radiology (fluoro, portables, OR, Litho, ED/Trauma)
- Understands the interrelation and operates the various computer systems such as RCO, Radnet, PACS and other hospital systems.
- Assists Imaging Support in locating films/images, loading CD's, printing reports and assisting physicians.
- Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department forms per protocol i.e. incident reports, side/site forms, etc. Completes exam(s) in Radnet,enters notes or other required documentation into Radnet, DR or other computer systems.
