About The Position

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a motivated, patient-focused Radiologic Technologist to join our team at our brand-new West End Endocrinology and Rheumatology Clinic. This is a unique opportunity to help establish imaging services in a newly built specialty clinic featuring state-of-the-art imaging technology, including brand-new radiography and bone densitometry equipment. This position will primarily perform bone density (DEXA) examinations and diagnostic X-ray studies while supporting a collaborative team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced outpatient environment and be excited about helping build and grow services in a new clinical space.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (Required)
  • 1 year of relevant work experience
  • LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Licensure-Others

Nice To Haves

  • Bone Densitometry Certification (ARRT BD) or previous DEXA experience (strongly preferred, but not required at the time of hire)
  • Experienced technologists must be willing to earn BD credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Perform bone density (DEXA) examinations for osteoporosis screening and monitoring.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction throughout the imaging process.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining radiation safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records.
  • Collaborate with providers, nurses, and clinic staff to support efficient patient care.
  • Assist with maintaining imaging equipment and exam rooms in accordance with Vanderbilt Health standards.
