About The Position

River Hospital is seeking a Radiographic Technologist with CT experience to work per diem in our Radiology Department. The role involves performing diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with approved techniques and standards, operating radiographic equipment to obtain optimum images for diagnosis and progress measurement. A key aspect of the role is prioritizing quality and the purpose of employment.

Requirements

• Completion of a two year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• One full year experience as a Radiologic Technologist
• Cross trained in CT required
• Valid New York State radiology registration as required by law
• Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to become certified onsite within 60 days of hire)

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with approved techniques and standards as established by radiologists governing and professional bodies.
• Operates radiographic equipment to obtain optimum images to aid in the diagnosis of disease and or to measure the progress of disease.
• Prioritizes quality and the purpose of employment as a technologist.
