About The Position

SurgCenter of Plano is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to join their team. This position requires weekdays only, with no holidays, weekends, nights, or on-call duties. The Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Technician) operates imaging equipment to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures. They work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to capture high-quality images that assist in diagnosing and treating medical conditions.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification or equivalent state licensure.
  • Strong attention to detail and patient care skills.
  • Knowledge of radiographic imaging principles, anatomy, and radiation safety
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of clinical radiography experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for X-ray procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Operate X-ray and other radiologic equipment to capture diagnostic images as ordered by physicians.
  • Adjust equipment settings to achieve optimal image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging logs, and equipment maintenance reports.
  • Assist radiologists or physicians during specialized imaging procedures when required.
  • Ensure proper sterilization and cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
  • Monitor and maintain radiologic supplies and report equipment malfunctions.
  • Adhere to hospital or clinic policies, HIPAA regulations, and ethical standards in patient care.
