Performs radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. This is a full-time position with a first shift schedule, working 40 hours per week. The role is non-exempt and requires the technologist to prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging, operate imaging equipment, and ensure proper image quality. The position also involves routine equipment maintenance, practicing radiation protection, processing images, maintaining records, and performing office duties. The technologist will provide a positive customer experience, explain procedures to patients, prepare images for radiologists, and may assist in training students or new staff. The role requires knowledge of appropriate care for patients from school-aged through gerontological. The position also includes assisting the radiologist in special x-ray examinations and performing clinic duties such as point of care testing, assisting with rooming patients, and cleaning exam rooms. Travel between facilities is required approximately 20% of the time.
