About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist operates radiographic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic radiographs and images and performs diagnostic procedures according to established standards and radiation safety practices. The role works directly with patients, radiologists, physicians, and fellow associates; follows the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Genesys Regional Medical Center; and demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to care for the age group(s) served. This is a part-time, benefit-eligible position at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, Michigan, scheduled for 24 hours per week on the afternoon shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with weekend and holiday rotation.

Requirements

Equivalent of a high school diploma.
Completion of an accredited two-year radiology program.
Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support, credentialed by the American Heart Association (AHA), obtained within 90 days of hire or job transfer.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography, credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), obtained within 180 days of hire or job transfer; alternatively, certification by the American Registry of Clinical Radiography Technologists (ARCRT), with renewal required.

Radiology work experience is preferred but not required.
