About The Position

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist, internally referred to as our Rad Tech or Diagnostic Radiology Tech, who is interested in training to be a Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (Cath Lab Tech). This is a full-time position with an on-call requirement, and the successful candidate must live within 30 minutes of Riverview Regional Medical Center (RRMC). The role involves performing diagnostic radiographic procedures, ensuring equipment functions properly, processing and transmitting images, and interacting with patients to explain procedures and ensure their comfort and safety.

Requirements

Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State
ARRT-R or RCIS or CCT Certification
Current BLS accredited by the AHA
Familiar with State and Federal regulations
Proficient computer skills

Responsibilities

Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs.
Perform Diagnostic Radiographic procedures according to department protocols, HFAP/TJC/local regulatory/CMS, State and Federal regulations.
Responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed.
Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations.
Participate in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities.
