About The Position

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking a Travel Radiologic Technologist / X-Ray for a travel contract position in North Adams, Massachusetts. This full-time, temporary contract position is for 13 weeks, with shifts available in the evenings. The role involves performing a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and ingenuity, applying appropriate skills to facilitate diagnosis, and ensuring proper care of the client. The technologist will practice infection control, maintain patient confidentiality, and demonstrate proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems, as well as CR, DR, and PACS applications. The position requires excellent patient care skills and maintaining department competencies.

Requirements

  • Reside beyond a 50-mile radius of the facility location.
  • 2 years of Rad Tech/X-Ray experience with 1 year of current experience.
  • ARRT (R).
  • MA Radiology License in hand or proof of application.
  • BLS Certification from AHA.
  • Must be willing to work weekends if and as needed.
  • Must have own transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity.
  • Apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis.
  • May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager.
  • Provide proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
  • May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist.
  • Practice infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Demonstrate proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems.
  • Demonstrate ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR and PACs applications.
  • Attend annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.
  • Maintain department competencies as required.
  • Provide excellent patient care skills.
