About The Position

This position is for a Radiologic Technologist – X-ray at UW Health, which is ranked as the #1 hospital in Wisconsin. The role involves performing a wide variety of imaging exams on patients across all age groups, utilizing various radiographic equipment, computers, detectors, and plate readers. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting basic maintenance, participating in quality assurance (QA), and resolving issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. The technologist will need to make quick and highly technical decisions to accommodate patient physical restrictions and pathologies. Additionally, the role includes serving as a clinical instructor for affiliated imaging training programs, instructing other technologists and visiting healthcare professionals, and potentially participating in clinical research. Requirements

  • Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology
  • Previous healthcare experience
  • CPR certification within 3 months Required
  • Certification by appropriate body (ARRT) and valid Wisconsin Radiological License within 3 months.
  • ARRT (R)

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • 2 years of clinical experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of imaging exams on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups using a wide variety of radiographic equipment, computers, detectors, and plate readers.
  • Troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.
  • Bring your knowledge to make quick and highly technical decisions to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology.
  • Serve as a clinical instructor for affiliated imaging training programs.
  • Participate in the instruction of other technologists and visiting health care professionals.
  • May also participate in clinical research.
