About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic X-ray imaging and assisting with fluoroscopic procedures to support pain management, orthopedic, and spine services. This role works closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to ensure high-quality imaging, patient safety, and efficient clinical workflow. The technologist plays a key role in procedural accuracy, radiation safety, and overall patient experience.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current state licensure and ARRT certification required.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and imaging best practices.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient clinical setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluoroscopy experience in; pain management or spine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray imaging according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Assist physicians during fluoroscopy-guided procedures, including pain management and spine interventions.
  • Position patients correctly to obtain accurate imaging while ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare patients for imaging and fluoroscopic procedures, explaining the process and addressing questions or concerns.
  • Verify patient identity, procedure orders, and site before imaging.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards, including ALARA principles.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and report any concerns to the clinical team promptly.
  • Coordinate imaging workflows with providers, nursing staff, and clinical support teams.
  • Maintain efficient patient flow to support clinic operations and procedural schedules.
  • Assist with room setup and turnover for fluoroscopy-guided procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with the care team regarding imaging findings or technical concerns.
  • Accurately document imaging studies and fluoroscopy usage in the medical record.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and practice policies.
  • Follow all HIPAA, privacy, and safety guidelines.
  • Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Ensure imaging rooms are clean, stocked, and procedure-ready.
  • Support infection control and safety protocols at all times.
