About The Position

Women's Imaging Specialists is hiring a part-time X-Ray/DEXA Technologist for our beautiful Foley, AL location. Requirements

ARRT (R) certification + current state license + BLS/CPR
A minimum of 2 years working experience in a healthcare facility as an X-Ray Technologist
Current certifications to operate X-Ray equipment and DEXA machine
Excellent communication skills and a teamwork attitude
Excellent hand/eye coordination
In depth knowledge of human anatomy
Attention to high levels of detail
Able to analyze complex situations within a limited time frame
Able to multi-task and a clear understanding how to handle and operate medical imaging equipment

Responsibilities

Capture x-ray images and DEXA Bone Screening for diagnosis and treatment purposes
Communicate with patients for education and to calm fears and anxiety, being warm, compassionate and caring
Ensure proper protection coverage of the patient to avoid over-exposure to radiation
Perform equipment QC based on the manufacturer's recommendations
Maintain proper maintenance, quality control records, and regulatory compliance
Ensure that preventative maintenance and inspections of equipment are done in a timely manner
