About The Position

This is a part-time, rotating shift position for a Radiologic Technologist in a surgical setting. The role involves greeting patients, explaining procedures, preparing sterile trays and contrast media, performing radiologic examinations with proper positioning and technique, assisting physicians during specialized procedures, evaluating images within PACS, printing charts, and accessing/documenting patient information in the medical record, including inputting charges.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, explain procedures, answer questions, and instruct patients during procedures.
• Prepare proper sterile tray and contrast media for procedures.
• Perform radiologic examinations on patients with proper positioning and technique.
• Assist physicians during specialized procedures.
• Evaluate images within PACS and close study appropriately for prompt reading.
• Print charts.
• Access and document patient information in the patient medical record.
• Input entry and selection of charges.
