Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
  • Current state Radiologic Technologist license (where applicable).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic x-ray examinations for patients of all ages under the direction of a provider.
  • Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation safety protocols.
  • Analyze images for quality and submit studies for interpretation.
  • Perform patient intake activities, including vital signs and patient history collection.
  • Conduct point-of-care testing as needed, including flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, and pregnancy testing.
  • Escalate urgent or critical findings to the provider team.
  • Manage daily PACS workflows and image archiving processes.
  • Reconcile radiology reports within the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Ensure all imaging studies are completed accurately and submitted appropriately.
  • Perform routine quality assurance, equipment calibration, and preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs when necessary.
  • Train and educate radiologic technologists on PACS and x-ray procedures in both classroom and clinical settings.
  • Register patients and verify insurance eligibility.
  • Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists.
  • Answer patient questions and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Assist with opening and closing center procedures.
  • Monitor and replenish medical supplies and maintain organized exam rooms.
