About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist prepares for and performs standard X-ray examinations using X-ray equipment, applying proper technique and positioning according to provider orders. The role also includes patient-care duties such as drawing blood, taking vital signs, recording medical histories, administering medication injections and vaccines, and assisting providers with medical procedures. The ideal candidate is energetic, eager to learn, positive, and passionate about patient care.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
Current state Radiologic Technologist licensure.
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Nice To Haves

Prior Radiologic Technologist experience is preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Operate required radiologic equipment in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
Position patients and X-ray equipment to obtain the desired diagnostic images.
Follow appropriate shielding protocols.
Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs and medical histories, and provide treatment as applicable.
Perform blood draws and administer medication injections and vaccines.
Prepare examination and treatment rooms; select, set up, sterilize, and maintain medical supplies and equipment for procedures.
Select the length and intensity of radiation exposure for individual patients or according to examination specifications.
Use CR and DR systems.
Examine images for density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
Send and store images.
Assist providers with medical procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
