About The Position

The Limited Radiologic Technologist prepares for and performs standard x-ray examinations, while using proper technique and positioning per provider orders. The Limited Radiology Technologist will be responsible for preparing patients for exams, updating medical records, utilizing x-ray equipment, and notifying the imaging supervisor of any equipment issues. Additional back office duties as assigned.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Limited Radiologic Technology Program required.
Current state Limited Radiologic Technologist (LXMO) with Spine, Extremities, and Chest Modules licensure required.
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Nice To Haves

Prior Limited Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
Experience performing Medical Assistant duties preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare for and perform standard x-ray examinations using proper technique and positioning per provider orders.
Prepare patients for exams.
Update medical records.
Utilize x-ray equipment.
Notify the imaging supervisor of any equipment issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Follow prescribed safety standards in operating all required radiologic equipment.
Position patients and x-ray equipment to achieve desired diagnostic image.
Apply knowledge and experience with appropriate shielding protocols.
Select length and intensity of radiation exposure on an individual patient basis or to specification of examination.
Use CR and DR systems.
Examine images for properties such as density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
Send and store images.
