As a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) Lead, you will be crucial in producing diagnostic images for accurate diagnosis and patient management. This role involves performing various imaging examinations such as X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while ensuring a positive patient experience through direct interaction. A deep understanding of diagnostic imaging's importance, including expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnoses, is essential.

Completion of approved American College of Radiology: Radiologic Technologist Program and Three years radiology experience, upon hire
Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or

Responsibilities

Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others.
Displays competency performing procedures; follows every step for taking an x-ray (two patient identifier, gel in/gel out, etc). Always produces high quality films. Accurately marks radiographs with R's and L's, supine and upright (if appropriate); and assures that patient information is clearly visible.
Competent in two or more areas of Diagnostic Radiology (fluoro, portables, OR, Litho, ED/Trauma)
Contributes to meeting our department goals (Patient Satisfaction, productivity, supply cost reduction, etc.)
Understands the interrelation and operates the various computer systems such as RCO, Radnet, PACS and other hospital systems. Assists in the reconciliation of errors, duplicate orders, dictation, etc.
Assists Imaging Support in locating films/images, loading CD's, printing reports and assisting physicians.
