Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a Lead Radiologic Technologist to join our Operating Room Radiology team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In this role, you’ll combine advanced clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities, supporting intraoperative imaging procedures while helping guide workflow, train staff, and ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or completion of a Certified Vocational Training program in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive radiologic technology experience
  • Active NYS Radiologic Technologist license
  • ARRT
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved organization (e.g., American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • Demonstrates advanced technical expertise in operating and troubleshooting multi-vendor radiologic equipment within the Operating Room environment
  • Leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to guide and support clinical staff
  • Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to prioritize workload and optimize patient flow
  • Attention to detail with a focus on imaging quality, safety, and compliance
  • Effective communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
  • Adaptability and accountability in dynamic clinical settings
  • Proficiency with radiology systems (PACS, EPIC) and workflow management

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality studies and adherence to surgical and departmental protocols
  • Serve as a lead technologist on shift, coordinating OR imaging workflow, case prioritization, and timely support of surgical teams
  • Provide real-time guidance to technologists as needed, assisting with complex cases and ensuring optimal imaging quality and patient safety imaging
  • Ensure accurate documentation, order verification, and case tracking within systems such as EPIC and PACS
  • Oversee quality assurance, equipment readiness, and compliance with infection control, radiation safety, and regulatory standards within the OR
  • Train, mentor, and onboard technologists in OR-specific workflows, sterile techniques, and advanced imaging procedures
